LIT NYC and SHPE NYC Event: LatinX in Tech Speaker Series- A Latino Founder Story with Manny Medina, CEO of Outreach
The U.S. Latinx population has grown significantly in the last decade, growing faster than any other demographic, and representing the largest minority group in the country at 18.1%. Despite these shifts in population dynamics, lack of representation and inequalities still exist across many sectors, most notably access to capital for Latinx technology entrepreneurs.
Although funding is still a door closed for many, entrepreneurs like CEO and founder of Outreach, Manny Medina, have managed to push these doors wide open to secure venture investment and create game-changing, wildly successful companies. We welcome our featured speaker, Manny Medina, to this episode of the Latinx in Tech series, where he will share with us his Founder Story, a compelling account of how being an immigrant from Ecuador shaped his founder journey, impacts the way he runs his company and treats his employees, and how we could all participate in his vision to support Latinx founders via more accessible sources of capital.
