About the role:

We are seeking an additional technical writer to plan, create, and maintain Chronosphere’s user-facing documentation. This includes both open source and commercial software and spans on-premises software, SaaS applications, as well as APIs and developer productivity tools. Our end-user audience is technical professionals who are building and operating micro-services-based software architectures. They include software developers, site reliability engineers, and observability teams.

You will

Embrace our voice and our house style.
Organize, produce, and maintain our technical documentation.
Embed with features teams to deliver documentation alongside new code.
Collaborate with Chronosphere staff and members of our open source communities as subject matter experts.
Deliver content incrementally.

You have

Experience with Documentation as Code (we use Github, Markdown, MDX, and Hugo).
Built custom additions to documentation tools.
Built testing, automation, and CI/CD processes for documentation.
Written not just about a technical product but also for a developer audience.
Enough Linux familiarity to install and run our products locally. You don’t need to be a technical expert, but you do need to be able to follow your own documentation and know that it works.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP.
