The Integrated Drug Substance Development (IDSD) group at Codiak, which spans mammalian cell culture, purification, and payload attachment, is seeking a talented, creative, and passionate cell culture scientist/engineer to bring impactful therapeutic modalities to patients with unmet medical needs. The Principal Associate Scientist will execute and develop innovative production processes for exosomes which will require strong technical expertise in upstream processing. The position will execute and further optimize the company’s mammalian cell culture platform which will require knowledge and experience in one or multiple areas of upstream bioprocessing such as high-throughput cell culture systems, bioreactor control strategies, cell retention technologies, and primary clarification. Additional responsibilities will include working closely with internal/external manufacturing teams on process transfer and troubleshooting. As part of an interdisciplinary team, pre-existing familiarity with purification and chemistry will be beneficial and opportunities will be afforded to expand exposure.
