About The Role

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our growing Advanced Detection Research (ADR) team. As a DevOps engineer you will be focused on automation, deployment and support of our detection solutions. You will be working with engineers, data scientists and security experts in researching innovative ways of identifying attacks, escalation points and compromise. Your day to day activities will be quite diverse and challenging, as you work with different subject matter experts in solving unique problems. What You’ll Do:

Work closely with the team to ensure efficient operation of daily activities, engineering productivity and continuous improvement of products and processes.
Design automated solutions that leverage infrastructure and configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Kaniko, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.
Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot and resolve production related issues.
Tackle complex design problems across a wide variety of tool sets in the SDLC process.
Document processes and procedures.

What You’ll Need:

4+ years of production-level experience in building, delivering, supporting and maintaining systems at scale.
Extensive development experience in creating end to end software CI/CD Pipelines
Production working experience with Kubernetes or other container deployment technologies (AWS ECS, Nomad, Spinnaker, etc)
Working experience in configuring observability & monitoring platforms such as Snyk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack etc.
Development experience with one of the following languages – Javascript, Scala, Python, Go or C++
Strong development experience writing pipeline code in Jenkins using Groovy, including shared libraries.
Ability to read and write simple to moderately complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, alarms. (Common uses: Python, Groovy, Bash)
Knowledge of proper monitoring, maintenance, and disaster recovery of critical services.
Comfortable leading open-ended research-focused efforts, and developing them into a series of concrete deliverables.

This role will require the candidate to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.
