About the Role:

CrowdStrike’s Advanced Detection Research team is expanding. We develop innovative defensive capabilities that enable CrowdStrike to stay ahead of the adversary and stop breaches. We’re looking to add a senior engineer with deep security expertise to our growing team.

Our Falcon platform has one-of-a-kind visibility and you’ll have the opportunity to apply your security, engineering, and research expertise to leverage this data and improve our platform’s ability to stop attacks. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with Security, Data Science, Engineering, and Visualization experts, all working toward the goal of developing innovative solutions to long-standing challenges in security.

What You’ll Do:

Research and develop innovative attack detection capabilities
Evaluate the efficacy of new and existing detection approaches and propose improvements
Implement and experiment with new algorithms and methodologies for improving detection
Work closely with other internal engineering teams to integrate new capabilities into our Falcon platform and guide cross-product architectural decisions
Act as a security subject matter expert for multidisciplinary teams
Share our research with the broader community
Continually learn about evolving challenges in security
What You’ll Need:

Qualified candidates will likely have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field along with 8+ years of relevant experience across security, engineering, or graduate degrees
Comfortable leading open-ended research-focused efforts, and developing them into a series of concrete deliverables
Broad exposure to security and deep expertise in one or more areas
Programming expertise in at least one language.  Python experience is preferred as well as experience in at least one other imperative, typed language such as Go or C++.
Strong technical communication skills that will enable you to collaborate effectively with peers, leadership, and the community
This role will require the candidate to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.
