The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is looking for an Sr. Manager, App Dev to join the Statistics and Reserves (STAR) team. We are looking to manages a team(s) of ITS professionals in the definition, development, and maintenance of quality IT solutions that meet customer/business requirements. Insures the design, coding and testing of application software programs are aligned with architectural standards and delivered on time and within budget. Utilizes latest techniques such as agile or test-driven development as appropriate to create applications and features.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or a related field. Master’s degree desirable
  • 10+ years of relevant IT and business work experience with expert knowledge of one process/service
  • 7+ years of leading development resources
  • 2+ years managing/leading teams
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations and data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Manages multiple IT processes within one or more functional area
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documents, including design documents, specifications and technology roadmaps
  • Deep understanding of technology-driven businesses, including technical components and modern application development processes
  • Advanced experience using agile methodologies to develop and deliver products
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder with the intent to become a US Citizen


  • Identifies customer needs, secures commitments, and monitors progress of deliverables from internal and external service provider teams
  • Ensures information technology adds the maximum value to customers
  • Crafts technology vision
  • Handle and structure engineering teams for delivering high quality solutions in a dynamic environment
  • Provides overall leadership for the development and implementation of integrated, cross functional business technology solutions
  • Manage people and financial resources while ensuring the development of high quality technology solutions to customers
  • Manages improvement of processes that impact customer satisfaction and relationships.
