About Higo

Paying vendors in Latin America is a cumbersome and manual process that anchors small businesses from growing. Launched in the middle of the pandemic, Higo is a smarter alternative to banks for how small business owners in Latin America pay, collect, and finance their invoices to maximize their company’s cash flow.

Higo was founded by serial entrepreneurs Rodolfo Corcuera, Juan Jo Fernandez, and Daniel Tamayo after experiencing the hardships of managing cash flow in their previous companies. We are backed by top Silicon Valley Investors (Homebrew, Susa Ventures, Audacious, Haystack and more) and along with a talented group of designers, engineers and operators, we are working to make sure Higo is the default way companies pay each other and the smartest alternative to banks for how our users maximize their cash flow.

About the role

We launched Higo in December 2020 and so far we have seen fantastic adoption from our early adopters. As we experience stronger signs of PMF (higher engagement, increased transactions, acceleration in word of mouth), we are now ready to evolve our founder-led marketing efforts and entrust our gtm strategy to YOU!

Excited for this next step in the maturity of our company, we are looking to partner with an experienced marketing executive that can be fully trusted to lead our product marketing efforts to influence more small business owners to ditch their legacy bank and maximize their cash flow with Higo.

Objectives

We are working hard to help small business owners evolve their manual and cumbersome process for paying and collecting invoices with a legacy bank account to a modern and simple streamlined digital experience with Higo. Our Head of Product Marketing will be the head of the spear to help us achieve this goal. To know we are on the correct path, our Head of Product Marketing should achieve the following outcomes within the next 12-18 months:

  • Discover the three main verticals where we should focus our marketing and product efforts to maximize our impact.
  • Define clear GTM positioning, messaging, and sales materials to resonate with our target audience.
  • Accelerate customer acquisition efforts to reach 1,000 companies by the end of the year.
  • Create brand awareness to make sure Higo is loved by small business owners by helping them maximize their cash flow.
  • Lead and influence our Product team to make sure Higo has an embedded flywheel.
