We’re looking for a senior or lead architect to join and assist in leading our IoT innovations engineering teams in Atlanta, GA. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong experience developing cloud SaaS/PaaS based solutions and excited about the future evolution of IoT engineering and connected products.

You will be given the opportunity to take your proven experience and closely work with the Innovation team and Chief
Architects to prototype and test the latest Cloud technologies and architectures.
Perform detailed architectural evaluation and risk analysis and develop risk mitigation plans
Review architectures of existing systems and software products to identify reuse and platforming opportunities as well as refactoring to improve quality
Closely collaborate with other Aero and Honeywell functions to ensure architecture and product excellence.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to development teams in implementation of established architectures and designs
Mentor and coach developers to ensure that architecture and requirements best practices are followed
Investigate third-party products and technology frameworks for their applicability and fit
Adapt system and software architectures practices to emerging business and technology demands
Work closely with System Architecture team to define standards and processes for documenting software architectures
Establish and enforce quality standards for cloud software architectures



Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology
5 years project experience migrating and deploying cloud based solutions (GCP, Azure or AWS)
10 years architecting, implementing Service Oriented Architecture within a software environment
10 years experience in HTML, react, JavaScript, SQL, Java, python, or C#, REST based web services
10 years demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, coaching, analysis, problem solving and short term and long term planning


Self-starter with an in-depth hands-on work experience with large-scale implementations of software on public cloud platforms including Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
Experience developing in PHP, Python, ,Java, C
Understanding of different Virtualization platforms based on commercial and open source technologies (such as, VMware, KVM, or Hyper V, etc.)
Direct experience migrating or deploying applications from the enterprise to public cloud providers (e.g. Amazon, Google, or Microsoft)
Experience helping development teams build and deploy Microservices based applications in public cloud
Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools and processes
Automation experience with CloudFormation, Resource Manager, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
Container experience with Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes
Proven experience as a successful senior engineer and/or cloud engineer highly desirable
Understanding of emerging technologies and end-user needs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly
Knowledge of J2EE, .NET, and cloud technologies development languages and uses tools, to continue with development
Prior experience in HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL, Java or C#, REST based web services
Extensive experience with Agile or iterative development methodologies (e.g. CMMI, Scrum, etc.)
Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, coaching, analysis, problem solving and short term and long term planning.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives and rapidly changing priorities.
Experienced, persuasive and effective presenter, both written and verbal.
