LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) is in hyper-growth mode and has been rapidly gaining market share. It has been growing at 30+% annual growth rate on a >3B business. The Sponsored Messaging Team is quickly ramping up world-class engineering talent to help us enhance and evolve our sponsored messaging experiences. Enabled to deliver independently, the team is positioned at the intersection of key LinkedIn systems with a breadth of opportunities for technical growth in web technologies, content, video, APIs, databases, and distributed systems at scale.

Responsibilities:

• You will own the development for one or more of our products and collaborate with visual/interaction designers, other engineers, and product managers to launch new products, iterate on existing features, and build a world-class user experience.
• You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
• You will provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs. Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity
• You will meet and collaborate with colleagues including product managers, designers and other engineers assigned to your project(s).

Basic Qualifications:

• BS (or higher, e.g., MS, or PhD) in Computer Science or related technical fields involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.
• 2+ years of industry experience
• 2+ years in JavaScript, HTML and CSS programming

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS and 5+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in designing and building distributed infrastructure and web services with large-scale customer facing applications.
• Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience writing clean JavaScript including experience with modern frameworks (Angular/Ember/React) and debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools, etc. )
• Proven coding skills in Java, Scala, Python, C, C++, and/or database design and SQL.
• Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in architecture, including performance, accessibility, security and usability.
• Experience with good software design and implementation skills incl. documentation, design trade-offs, resource management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
