To be a successful Business Development Representative, you should have excellent communication skills (written & verbal), a genuine obsession with solving customer problems, superior organization, and drive for continuous improvement, you should be excited about solving a massive global challenge of current technology and building a once-in-a-lifetime company in the process.

You’ll be the primary point of entry for potential new Mystery customers, which means you’ll spend the vast majority of your time talking to potential customers and figuring out creative ways to source leads.

What You Will Do in The Role:

  • Work as part of a competitive team of salespeople focused on exceeding sales targets
  • Source 100% of your own leads through the use of multiple platforms to conduct company and prospect research in order to develop accounts and personalize outreach
  • Partner with Account Executives to prioritize target accounts and prospecting efforts
  • Contact prospects through calls, emails, and other channels to get them excited about Mystery’s goal
  • Schedule product demos between prospect and Account Executives
  • Timely and accurate updating of lead information, forecasts, and pipeline data in CRM
  • Provide amazing buyer experiences

What You Bring:

  • At least one prior experience as an SDR/BDR or another relevant sales role with a great track record
  • 1-3 years of sales or other relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Highly motivated toward reaching and exceeding sales targets
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and/or HubSpot)
  • Preferred but not required: Experience in an early-stage SaaS environment

First 30 days: Fully immerse yourself into the company, learn our tech stack, and familiarize yourself with customer personas and existing messaging frameworks. Start leading multi-channel outbound campaigns.

Days 30-60: Prioritize, manage, and execute against responsibilities to develop a sales pipeline. Continue learning about the industry, customer personas, and messaging frameworks. Iterate and improve on our outbound sales motion.

Day 60+: While continuing to manage your sales activities and pipeline development, start partnering with marketing and growth leadership to share feedback and improvement opportunities in our GTM strategies, messaging, and educational content. Will begin to partner more closely with AE teams and learn about the entire buyer’s journey and sales process.
