Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a high performing Principal Software Engineer to play a critical role in the digital transformation of Air MI’s technology landscape.

In this role, you will be a leader and pioneer in the creation of a digital information backbone, analytics platform, and global applications for Air MI!

Our successful candidate has excellent communication and relationship building skills in addition to current, hands-on Industrial Network and Analytics experience. Our ideal candidate will anticipate future technology needs of our Manufacturing business and drive solutions to those challenges.

What you bring to NIKE?
– Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
– 6+ years of Industrial Network architecture, data flows, aggregation, and normalization in a Manufacturing environment
– 6+ years of software development experience.
– Demonstrated experience with MES vendor selection and implementation at scale.
– Strong skills in team leadership and building positive relationships across Operations Technology (OT), Software Engineering and Product Management.
– Ability to influence outcomes across loosely coupled teams.
– Solid foundation in Industrial Network architecture, system design, and analytics solutions.
– Diverse and deep experience in microservice architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful APIs using Node and/or Python
– Experience with data security best practices and ability to recommend secure data protection and governance including encryption in transit, encryption at rest, federated access, etc.
– Experience working in a Distributed/Cloud-based environment (AWS + Azure preferred)
– Experience in Industrial Network based data streaming technology with an emphasis on performance and security.
– You are very experienced in hierarchical and distributed code repository management tools like GIT.
– Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests.
– Understanding in agile principles and the Scrum development process.
– Ability to define solution options, provide estimates on effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility.
– Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
– Commitment to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews.
– Practical approach to solving complex problems with ambiguous requirements.
– You can present and explain technical efforts at multiple levels of detail.
