The Digital Product Retail Experience team is responsible for the user experience and design of digital product features and capabilities that deliver the best possible brand experience across Nike Direct and partner retail stores – connecting the consumer and in-store athlete experience end-to-end from N@AR (Nike App at Retail) and in-store athlete iOS apps, to digital on-screen touch UI experiences. As a key member of this team, you’ll report into the Design Director of Retail within Nike Digital Product Design.


  • Designing incredibly polished work that represents the brand and product experience through architecture mapping, UX wireframes / flows, high fidelity visual comps, and prototypes
  • Owning larger projects that require multiple levels of coordination or working at the forefront of a new digital design initiatives
  • Shaping design ecosystems and creating traction around a design direction
  • Overseeing the quality and design output for your projects / initiatives across organizations, and heavily influencing the overall quality
  • Providing thought leadership for highly visible, cross-functional teams, leading projects or initiatives for your product area, across multiple areas, and Digital Product Design
  • Driving agendas between cross-functional partners to prioritize high-value opportunities, mitigate constraints, and playing a critical role on project prioritization, providing contributors with direction
  • Inspiring new ways of thinking and exploring the unknown using fresh and unique approaches to design problems
  • Guiding your teams to solve the toughest problems of a product or feature while mentoring and developing senior talent
  • Influencing team culture by always being inclusive, welcoming and candid-identifying, leading and delivering initiatives that improve the culture across the org
  • Improving the caliber and efficiency of the Digital Product Design org through identifying, owning and successfully driving substantial and challenging org-wide initiatives
  • Providing guidance and direction to cross-functional or agency partners to ensure the highest level of quality for Digital Product Design are being achieved


  • 10+ years of relevant experience with end-to-end digital product design with proven experience in visual and UX
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in design, UX/UI design, human-computer interaction or a related field or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • Ability to simplify the complex by delivering high-quality, end-to-end design solutions that are intuitive and easy to use
  • Demonstrated user-centric design approach and insights-based design process
  • Strong collaborator with product managers, engineers, writers, researchers and marketers
  • Expert in time management — simultaneously delivering on time and guiding the team to build more efficient processes during emergencies
  • Experience working with consumer research and data
  • Experienced at using metrics and data to help define success
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Expert in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Principle
  • Cross-platform design experiences (web, Android, iOS, emails)
  • Ability to craft crisp, concise and informative user journey narratives that are influential to a wide variety of people
  • Extensive experience creating products that fully consider accessibility, edge case solutioning, iOS device adaptability, and full GEO language consideration
  • Experience launching software at scale in a fast-paced product organization
  • Passion for the Nike brand, sport and for creating high-quality work
  • A fascination with innovation and technology (NFC, RFID, Beacons, etc.) and a solid understanding of digital tools and trends is a plus
  • Experience designing for digital / physical experiences is a plus
  • Familiarity with 3D, After Effects, and AR is a plus
