People Operations Associate

The role

SoFi is seeking a People Operations Associate to join our People Operations team whose goal is to provide exceptional service to our employees, while delivering operational excellence. This role will report to the People Operations Manager and partner cross-functionally with our People Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll teams. This exciting opportunity will play a key role throughout the employee life-cycle changes from hiring and onboarding to development and off-boarding.  The ideal candidate has a rare combination of exceptional customer service and a passion for working with processes & systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage our People ticketing system and act as the first line of service for People related inquiries
  • Partner with People Business Partners to manage day to day administrative tasks
  • Process data and maintain overall data integrity in our HR System (Workday)
  • Audit employee data for accuracy and completeness to ensure smooth processes in downstream systems
  • Identify inefficiencies and work with the broader People team to enhance processes and workflows
  • Assist with our I-9 program including; employee outreach, I-9 completion, and TNC management
  • Ensure necessary documentation is stored appropriately in employee files
  • Act as support for various People initiatives and projects as needed

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years experience in an administrative role, preferably within an HR function
  • Detail and process-oriented; ability to handle confidential data professionally and with discretion
  • Workday experience is a strong plus
  • Experience working in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Ability to self start in an unstructured environment and comfort dealing with ambiguity
  • Team player with a can-do attitude – Must be able to build and maintain relationships with employees both within and outside of the People Team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with people from all walks of life
