The Senior Product Manager, Cloud Platform is focused on building a vision of evolving Sonos’ Cloud Services to be the foundation of the Sonos ecosystem. You will work closely with the rest of the software platform team to create a vision and a roadmap of services and capabilities that provide comprehensive “cloud-first” functionality that powers all of the locations and households where our customers enjoy listening to their content through our players, including on-the-go and in commercial environments. You will build and evolve a platform to empower our internal Sonos developers as well as our ISVs to create premium Sonos experiences that leverage our cloud infrastructure. We strive to create services that are scalable, performant and easy to adopt.

“What You’ll Do”

  • Develop and evolve a Cloud Platform roadmap that aligns customer needs, business priorities, technical feasibility, and design direction
  • Use consumer and market insights and data to create platform strategy and features that drive engagement and revenue
  • Clearly communicate the vision, goals, and key elements of new services and features through product requirements
  • Collaborate with Engineering and QA to define and prioritize initiatives in the cloud space from new services to technical debt.
  • Create product briefs that outline the vision, requirements and user impact.
  • Collaborate with other product managers on the platform team to build the foundational cloud services needed to serve current and future needs.
  • Work continuously with technical leads to refine and support projects from incubation to launch.
  • Coordinate with teams across the organization to ensure successful launch and adoption of new cloud services.
  • Manage and track cross team dependencies and timelines

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ Year experience in Cloud/Services, Platform, or API product management
  • Proven track record of leading teams to ship products of the highest quality within timing and technical constraints
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions in a distributed team
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills for diverse audiences from engineering to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and managing a catalog of services that power the Sonos cloud platform, ensuring that each service has a roadmap that meets the future needs of the platform,
  • Ensure that new services and service architectures are part of the Cloud Platform roadmap, anticipating the functional and hosting requirements of Sonos’ businesses
  • Experience working with engineering and operations on OKRs around service costs and performance targets
  • Proven ability to evaluate technologies, cloud/service architectures, articulate customer needs, and set a vision of how platforms enable great developer and customer experiences
  • Experience working with internal and external engineering partners on a platform/API design that’s simple, consistent, yet powerful
  • Hands-on experience in consumer electronics at the intersection of hardware, software, and media
  • Be able to lead the evolution of the strategy and platform to expand the capabilities of Sonos’ Cloud roadmap
