Who we are 

Tread helps truck drivers and dispatchers all over North America communicate with clarity and efficiency. Using our platform, clients are able to see where their drivers are, who needs help, what sites are the least efficient and optimize accordingly. Though we are a dispatch platform first, our data is unique in the ConTech space and is helping construction companies understand where they need to improve to make themselves and their drivers more money.

Our team is small, only 35 people at the moment, but we’re quickly growing. We look for highly motivated individuals who are eager to see the impact of their work day-to-day. Our team comes from very different backgrounds: deep-tech, fleet logistics, entrepreneurship, f500’s. What brings us all together is a desire to make a lasting impact on a substantial industry and help small business owners thrive during this transition to technology.

You’ll need to:

Be proficient with technology. Your family might consider you to be IT support.
Have worked in a customer-facing role before. Have managed customer complaints, and worked with them to provide the best solution to solve a problem.
Bilingual. You’re comfortable messaging in a conversational and formal tone in English and in Spanish.
Be a confident written and oral communicator who is comfortable speaking in front of crowds. The groups we train can range from 8-50 people at a time.
Be able to work under pressure. We’re a seasonal industry, which means crunch time can come in waves. You’ll need to be able to prioritize accordingly and ask for help when needed.
Be empathetic. We’re changing the way a whole industry works, managing this change requires a high amount of empathy.
Work well with ambiguity. As we grow, the company continues to change. We need problem solvers who will help us tackle the big and small questions. Your day-to-day tasks will often change.
Have a positive, “get it done” attitude. This means that you come to the table with suggested solutions when presenting issues you’ve uncovered and you know how to work well with others to find the right path forward.
Have a full driver’s licence and a valid passport. Once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, there may be need for some travel either to our headquarters in Toronto or to visit clients.
Be available to work between 6am-2pmEST and on every third weekend. We’re looking for someone to cover the early dispatching hours of the east coast.

Relevant experience that could help you succeed in this role (not mandatory):

You’ve worked with a startup
You’ve interacted with C-Level partners before. You’re comfortable messaging in a conversational and formal tone in English and in French.
You’ve attended a college or university for: business administration, humanities, construction management, social sciences, or hospitality.
You’ve worked with people in the trades.
You’re able to troubleshoot basic issues with phones or tablets
