Global Payroll Analyst Job Description

The Global Payroll Analyst will possess the experience and desire to determine the root cause of problems and issues, drive to evaluate and improve processes, and work collaboratively across multiple functions to improve the customer experience. Working with the Payroll Manager, the Global Payroll Analyst will analyze and evaluate systems and/or processes and functional requirements, develop business cases as needed, and recommend and implement changes to business processes.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities: 

– Partner directly with regional Payroll teams, HR and business teams to analyze, document problems, and recommend solutions
– Support special projects, including, preparation of requirements/scope documentation, testing of new implementations, and follow-up on timelines and deliverables, lead multi-functional teams as needed
– Perform in-depth investigations and analysis to determine the root cause of repeated problems to identify gaps and continuous improvement opportunities and initiate corrective actions
– Identify, recommend and prioritize improvements to the customer experience, as well as internal process improvements and work with appropriate internal & external partners to implement
– Document payroll processes and procedures with the ability to suggest standard processes and opportunities
– Demonstrate expertise in payroll business processes and understand assigned and multi-functional areas, develop and deliver training and leadership
– Consult on the integration of systems into the Workday environment and recommend specific change management opportunities related to payroll process
– Maintain systems access and security to ensure data integrity and identify anomalies • Assist with internal and external audits and data gathering
– You will work to identify and design potential solutions, perform system tests, implement changes, and monitor post configuration change performance
– Perform testing on Sandbox after Bi-Annual Workday releases deployed
– Effectively partners with teams such as HR, Recruiting, Benefits, People Ops, IT, and others to provide support for requests for enhancements and troubleshooting
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications: 

– Solid understanding of general HR & Payroll wage and hour laws, tax laws, functions and processes
– Minimum of 5 years of Payroll and/or HRIS experience working in multi-state, multi-national company
– Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
– Strong problem solving and analytical skills
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
– Ability to recommend and implement changes as needed
– Experience with Workday Payroll and/or HCM
– Ability to work remotely, independently and meet deadlines
– Ability to create meaningful KPI’s and metrics
