In an effort to continue building strong bridges between Latina talent and top tech companies, Latinas in Tech launched the LiT Career Hub in May of this year. Since our launch, more than 40 companies have shared 73+ job opportunities and our platform has received close to 2,000 views.
Through this platform, members of our community are able to search for career opportunities using key words that align with their expertise and filter by location, sector, and skills. On the employer side, companies are able to post jobs that will be featured in bi-weekly emails to our Latinas in Tech database, and gain access to new and diverse talent pools.
Did you know that Latinas represent less than 1% of the workforce in the tech industry? We believe that diversity not only fuels innovation, but also helps to create better, more inclusive technology for everyone. This is why we hope that this Career Hub becomes a hotspot for recruiters to find the talent they need, as well as a platform for Latinas to take their career to the next level. Since the launch of the Career Hub, we have already placed Latinas in some of the most sought after companies. One example is Paola Correa, who now works at Facebook elevating stories from diverse entrepreneurs that are doing amazing things thanks to the platform’s tools.
During the pilot phase, the Latinas in Tech Career Hub will be free of charge to companies, and we encourage you to post often and exclusively on our platform! If you are a recruiter and are interested in sharing a job listing on our Career Hub, please contact us. We’ll set up your login credentials and you will be able to manage multiple job postings on your company’s dashboard.
Our wish is that this Career Hub helps close the gap for Latinas who want to work in this field. Help us make it a reality! If you work in tech, talk to your company about publishing new job openings on our Career Hub, share the listings on social media, and help us spread the word! As always, we are stronger together.
