Originally from Brazil, Marina graduated with a degree in International Relations at started her career as a marketer, working for companies in the real estate and transportation/logistics industries. After moving to San Francisco, she carved a new career path for herself by completing a 3-month immersive engineering school for women at Hackbright.

Today, Marina is a full-stack software engineer at Twilio where she works on tools and services that simplify the debugging experience for developers. She is also a lead on the Twilio Latinx Employee Resource Group.

In her free time, she volunteers for organizations like Hackbright and CodeNation, which teach software development to people from underrepresented groups.
