Lorena Dominguez News Anchor, Telemundo 48
Lorena Dominguez is the evening anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 48, which airs Monday through Friday at 6:00pm and 11:00pm, on Telemundo 48 Área de la Bahía / KSTS, the local station that serves the Latino community in the Bay Area.
Dominguez reports on local breaking news as well as stories of interest to the Bay Area’s Latino community.
Lorena Dominguez is an award winning journalist with vast experience covering diverse stories from breaking news, to feature and in-depth investigative reports that demonstrate her commitment to the Latino community.
Lorena has received 8 EMMY’s, one Gracie Award, and one RTNDA award.
Lorena began her career as a reporter for KWHY Channel 22 in Los Angeles. She was a weekend news anchor for KDTV Univision 14 in San Francisco. Lorena moved back to Los Angeles in 2004 where she worked for KMEX Univision 34 and KVEA Telemundo 52. Lorena worked as a segment producer and reporter for Time Warner Cable Deportes in Los Angeles.
Lorena was born and raised in Baja California, Mexico. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University, and completed a professional development curriculum on the area of marketing and media branding at UCLA.
Lorena is passionate about working with children. She volunteered for Shriners Hospital for Children in Los Angeles and currently is a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
